On the 1st of January 2019 Frida Elstein lead a monumental expedition to a victorious completion when she crossed the Equator. A film was made to record the historic event. Frida would like to thank all her supporters and her team.

The Equator was discovered and mapped out by a French geodesic expedition team that was led by an explorer named Charles-Marie de La Comdamine in the year 1736. La Condamine spent 10 years in Ecuador taking measurements and proved that the world is not perfectly round, but that it bulges at the equator.

Then there’s rumours that it was already discovered back in 1349, but people were deliberately kept unaware of the spherical shape of the planet by the church in order to maintain God.

Then again, some people still claim that the world is actually flat…
